  We arrange three- hour guided tours in the Monteverde cloud forest reserve with a naturalist guide. The hike is not strenuous and is at a gentle pace but you have to be in reasonably good physical condition. The guides point our interesting plants and birds and do their best to find mammals. Animals are hard to spot but whether you see them or not the guides make the forest come alive with their extensive knowledge of the flora and fauna and history of Monteverde. Children can do this tour but remember they need to have an attention span of three hours and have to remain relatively quiet so other members of the group can hear what the guide is saying. The tours start at 7.30am with a pick-up from the hotels between 7.00- 7.20am. Our driver will point out the guide who will be waiting at the entrance of the park (at the ticket office). There are also tours that start at 12md and 1.30pm with a pick up 30 minutes before. But tours are better in the morning as the birds are more active. Desafio requires advance booking especially during high season.
