  The waters of Montezuma Costa Rica's Pacific coast have long been known to make some of the most spectacular sail fishing in Costa Rica. Here the acrobatic sailfish are the main target, but mighty blue and black marlin, colorful dorado, some striped marlin, Wahoo, and yellow fin tuna that range often join them in size from small footballs to 200 lbs.-plus giants. Sailfish are most rich throughout the year, however during the months of late December through May, you should expect to observe many free jumpers and excessive amounts of fish. Fishing Montezuma is like no other place in the Costa Rica. Marlin, Sailfish are taken year round with usually about 5 to 15 fish a day.
